I live in “Hokkaido”, the northernmost major island of Japan,
making furniture or something.
Hokkaido is a little different in weather,
climate and culturefrom theother parts of Japan.
Its scenery would remind you of the countryside of Germany or Switzerland.
A photographer once said that Hokkaido is situated
at the southernmost of the regionwhere
Alaskan and Siberian hunting people used to liverather than
at the northernmost of Japan.
Japanese people have believed every single thingin nature hasa
divinity since ancient times.
I imagine you would feel the presence of the divinities profoundly in Hokkaido.
I was born and raised here, seeing a cloud floating in the light blue sky,
trees with white bark and insects wiggling underneath the fallen leaves.
“Wood shold be sort of flowers of light,” said Wright.
Well, I am going to spend my life admiring flowers of light.
